Product Description
THS Series Harmonic Reducer
The THS Series Harmonic Reducer is a high-performance, precision gear reducer designed for demanding automation and robotics systems. It offers four connection types, a wide range of sizes and reduction ratios , and is engineered to deliver exceptional rigidity, torque capacity, and positioning accuracy. With its coaxial input/output design and large hollow shaft, the BHS reducer simplifies integration and supports applications requiring cable or shaft pass-through.
Functional Features
High Load Capacity: In harmonic reducers, tooth engagement is surface contact, and the number of simultaneously engaged teeth (overlap coefficient) is relatively high. This results in low unit area pressure and higher load capacity compared to other transmission forms.
Large Reduction Ratio: The reduction ratio of a single-stage harmonic reducer can reach i = 50–500.
Compact Size and Light Weight.
High Transmission Efficiency and Long Service Life.
Smooth Transmission: Operation is stable, free of impact and noise, with high motion accuracy.
Product Views
It primarily consists of three fundamental components:
Circular Spline : A rigid gear with an internal ring gear, analogous to the sun gear in a planetary system.
Flexspline : A flexible gear with an external ring gear, analogous to the planetary gear.
Wave Generator: Analogous to the planetary carrier.

Application
Thanks to its core features including high precision, zero backlash, compact design, high rigidity, and large hollow shaft, the BHS Series Harmonic Reducer serves as an ideal transmission solution for fields such as aerospace, industrial robotics, inspection and analysis equipment, medical devices, communication equipment, and high‑end processing machinery. Its zero‑backlash transmission and high rotational accuracy meet the stringent positioning requirements of aerospace and inspection systems. The compact coaxial design facilitates integration into the confined spaces of medical and communication devices, while the high torque density and rigid structure support continuous high‑load operation in industrial robots and processing equipment. Furthermore, the hollow‑shaft design enables easy routing of cables and tubes, optimizing overall machine layout and reliability.
Model Description
Type I: Standard type, where the input shaft fits into the cam's inner bore and is connected via a flat key.
Type II: Oldham coupling type, where the input shaft and the cam are connected using an Oldham coupling.
Type III: Cylindrical hollow type, where the input shaft is connected to the hollow cam via screws.
Type IV: Solid shaft input type.

Recommended Lubricating Oil
※Combination type products are lubricated with grease, which is pre-added before delivery and no additional injection is required during assembly; simple type products are not filled with grease at the factory and need to be added separately during assembly.
※Do not mix with other types of lubricating grease.
※Improve lubrication life through the following measures: Apply grease to all contact parts thoroughly at the initial stage of operation to completely remove initial wear dust generated during the sealing stage of each contact, and replenish grease to each contact part.
Installation
1.Motor direct connection with wave generator (Type Ⅰ Connection)

2.Motor connection with cross slider coupling (Type Ⅱ Connection)

Incorrect Mounting Direction Correct Mounting Direction
1.Before installation, check that the flatness of the mounting plate is good and that there are no protrusions or foreign objects around the screw holes.
2.Avoid applying excessive external force to the bearing part of the wave generator during assembly. The wave generator can be smoothly inserted into the flexspline by rotating it.
3.When using a coupling structure without a cross slider, pay special attention to controlling the geometric accuracy of the installation position (suggested within 0.01~0.015mm).
