On December 7, a viral video showing a humanoid robot "laying into" its own boss took the internet by storm.

In the clip released by Zhongqing Robotics, the firm’s CEO Zhao Tongyang—suited up in protective gear—went head-to-head with the company’s brand-new T800 humanoid robot in an impromptu "duel". He barely sidestepped the bot’s flying kick the first time around, but on the second try, the robot nailed him square in the abdomen, sending him crashing to the floor.

After taking the hit, Zhao didn’t hold back: “That was brutal—no one’s walking away from that without padding. You’d definitely end up with a broken bone, no doubt about it.”
