Morgan Stanley research indicates that the robotics market could surge from its current size of $91 billion to $25 trillion by 2050.
- Since 2015, global robot installations have grown at a CAGR of nearly 13%.
- Capital expenditure on logistics automation is growing by more than 20% annually, and warehouse productivity using robots has increased by 25-30%.
- At the operator level, the scale is already enormous. Amazon has confirmed that by June 2025, it will have more than 1 million robots in over 300 facilities.
- Outside of factories, growth is strong across all categories. The agricultural robot market is projected to grow from $17.73 billion in 2025 to $56.26 billion in 2030, a CAGR of 26.0%. The surgical robot market is projected to grow from $13.69 billion in 2025 to $27.14 billion in 2030, a CAGR of 14.7%.
The public health system is also undergoing a transformation. The UK's National Health Service (NHS) aims to perform 500,000 robotic surgeries annually by 2035, with 90% of minimally invasive surgeries being robotic-assisted, compared to approximately 70,000 in 2025.
