Summary: GuideNOW is a new AI-powered bin picking solution that enables industrial robots to identify, grasp, and place randomly positioned parts in real time, improving flexibility, speed, and reliability in unstructured manufacturing environments.
GuideNOW is a next-generation robotic bin picking system designed to improve automation in complex industrial environments. Unlike conventional systems that rely on fixed overhead 3D cameras, pre-programmed grasp points, and complex calibration, GuideNOW uses a 3D camera mounted directly on the robot arm combined with AI-based robot guidance.

The system continuously analyzes object position and orientation during operation, allowing robots to adapt dynamically to randomly placed or partially hidden parts. Inspired by human behavior, the robot identifies a graspable surface, analyzes the object after gripping it, and continuously adjusts its trajectory for accurate placement through a process known as in-hand localization.
According to the developers, GuideNOW achieves pick times below one second with success rates of up to 95% in live manufacturing environments. The on-arm camera architecture also reduces hardware requirements by eliminating multiple fixed cameras and complex overhead installations.

The solution has already been deployed across more than five manufacturing plants, where it has demonstrated stable performance and high throughput in real-world production conditions. GuideNOW is designed to support scalable, flexible, and cost-effective industrial automation across multiple factory configurations.
