Agibot's New Mini Humanoid Robot: Compact Enough for Your Backpack

Abstract:Agibot has launched the Q1, a compact AI-powered humanoid robot designed for research, education, and hands-on experimentation. Featuring no-code programming, customizable design, and advanced motion control, the Q1 offers an accessible platform for developers and creators to explore humanoid robotics.

Agibot has introduced the Q1, a compact AI-powered humanoid robot designed for research, education, and hands-on experimentation. Standing at 80 cm tall, the Q1 is roughly one-eighth the size and weight of full-sized humanoid robots, making it easier to handle and more economical for development. Its small form factor also enhances safety during experiments.

The Q1 features advanced quasi-direct-drive joints, smaller than an egg, which enable precise force control and quick movements. This allows the robot to perform targeted tasks and facilitates rapid testing of algorithms in real-world scenarios. With full-body force control, the Q1 significantly reduces development time from months to days.

This robot is built on an open platform, allowing users to easily customize its appearance and movements using no-code programming. It comes equipped with a 3D-printed shell tool and includes capabilities like voice interaction, English teaching, dance instruction, and indoor positioning.

Agibot has positioned the Q1 as a “graduation-level” robot suitable for laboratory use while also serving as a personal humanoid robot for creators. Its affordability and versatile functionality make it an accessible entry point for researchers, enthusiasts, and developers seeking to explore humanoid robotics.
