At its latest tech event, CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) introduced its revolutionary third-generation Shenxing battery, capable of achieving a full charge in just 6 minutes, setting a new industry standard for charging speed.
Compared to BYD’s Blade Battery 2.0, the Shenxing third-gen battery offers even faster charging speeds, with key charging milestones as follows:
10% to 35%: 1 minute
10% to 80%: 3 minutes 44 seconds
10% to 98%: 6 minutes 27 seconds

The battery’s ultra-low internal resistance of just 0.25 milliohms—50% lower than the industry average—is a key factor behind its performance. The Shenxing battery also features several advanced technologies, including:
