Product Introduction

SamuRoid is an intelligent humanoid robot development platform built on the ROS system. The entire body has 22 degrees of freedom joints, using a Raspberry Pi as the control core. With built-in full-scale automatic frame interpolation and self-stabilization algorithms, SamuRoid can perform complex movements such as walking, grasping, and dancing.

Through a high-definition vision camera mounted on its head combined with OpenCV machine vision algorithms, SamuRoid can perform visual tasks such as face tracking, color block tracking, kicking a ball, and object recognition and handling. SamuRoid can participate in various domestic and international humanoid robot competitions. We provide complete ROS open-source code and detailed development materials, aiming to empower artificial intelligence programs in universities and cultivate more outstanding talents in the field of embodied AI.

4 Voice broadcast fault self-diagnosis system

When the SamuRoid is powered on, it will automatically detect whether devices such as servos, cameras, remote controllers, and IMU gyroscopes are malfunctioning and will prompt the user with voice prompts. Users can also press and hold the "user" button while the device is powered on to view the report of malfunctioning modules on the screen.

5 Innovative structure of dual hip joints

SamuRoid employs a yaw hip joint design to support leg rotation along the Z-axis, making it more agile in turning compared to other humanoid robots with a yaw hip design.

Deploying AI Mega-Models to Unleash Embodied Intelligence

SamuRoid, the mecha warrior, is more than just a robot; it's intelligent. Connected to a multimodal AI mecha model, and when networked, it accesses the Tongyi Qianwen API, enabling real-time connection to a cloud-based AI super-brain. It also supports switching between different mecha models. Equipped with a visual camera, an echo-cancelling microphone module, and high-fidelity speakers, it can understand the world, interact with users via voice, and translate complex voice commands into precise actions. This integration of perception, reasoning, and action unlocks limitless possibilities for advanced embodied intelligence applications.

Three built-in AI models

1 Large-scale language model

SamuRoid supports access to the Tongyi Qianwen large model platform, which is like having a "super brain" that can not only understand text commands but also respond flexibly.

2 Large speech model

SamuRoid, a mecha warrior, incorporates open-source AI large-scale model interaction code. After connecting to the AI large-scale model, it gives SamuRoid "ears" and a "mouth." Through natural language processing technology, it listens to your every word in real time and responds instantly with human-like voice, providing a smooth and natural human-computer interaction experience.

3 Visual large model

The visual big model is like the "eyes" of SamuRoid, capable of understanding and analyzing image content, accurately identifying objects, and outputting text and voice feedback.


Creative Applications of Multimodal Large Models

Voice control supports conversation interruption
The system supports conversation interruption, allowing users to pause the current process at any stage of recording, conversation, or task execution after waking up the robot, greatly improving the flexibility and ease of use of the interaction.

Scene Understanding
Through a large visual model, SamuRoid can understand scene information within its field of view, identify object names and spatial relationships, and respond in real time through a large voice model.

Visual Tracking
Leveraging the powerful analytical capabilities of large visual models, SamuRoid can automatically identify and lock onto target objects in complex environments, enabling real-time tracking tasks.

Item Handling
Through visual large-scale model analysis, SamuRoid can identify target items in the scene and obtain their relative position parameters. Based on instructions, it adjusts its body posture in real time to move the items to the designated area.


Multi-terminal control methods

Supports wireless remote control and mobile APP control, with a fighter jet cockpit-like display screen that allows users to view the robot's first-person perspective video and azimuth angle, remotely control walking, adjust joint parameters, adjust gait, and quickly switch between various modes.


AI Visual Recognition

Human-Computer Interaction

The SamuRoid mecha warrior's head features a 2-DOF (DoF) motion direction design and is equipped with a high-definition wide-angle vision camera. It uses OpenCV for image recognition and a PID algorithm to quickly capture and locate object positions, enabling it to perform cool machine vision functions such as face tracking, color detection and tracking, label recognition, and visual line following.

Visual kicking

Automatically scans, identifies, and locks onto the football in its 

field of view, then moves 

towards it and automatically kicks the ball when it gets close.

QR code recognition

Recognizes the content of a QR 

code and performs actions such as moving forward, backward,and 

turning based on the recognition 

result.

Virtual Reality

Identifies Aruco tags within the 

field of view and displays their 

corresponding VR images, 

achieving a perfect fusion of 

virtual and reality.

Color Tracking

Identifies objects of a specified color and tracks them in real time by rotating the head.

Visual line following

Identifies a line of a specified 

color, automatically adjusts its 

direction, and follows the line.

Limb Synchronization

Identifies the human limb skeleton within the field of visionand 

synchronously replicates 

its movements.

Visual sorting

A camera placed on the head of 

the Samuroid can identify and 

locate squares of the target color, enabling it to pick up and sort these objects.

Facial Recognition Tracking

The robot uses a high-definition 

camera to recognize faces and 

lock them in the center of the 

frame, allowing the robot's head 

to follow the face's 

position as it rotates.


Self-stabilizing gait algorithm

The SamuRoid robot has 22 joints and incorporates a second-order inverted pendulum self-stabilizing gait algorithm. Walking parameters such as height, speed, turning radius, and center of gravity can be dynamically adjusted in real time via an app. It provides bipedal kinematic analysis and ROS-based open-source inverse kinematics algorithm code, facilitating robot motion control development and practical training.


Built-in Rich Performance Motion Sets

SamuRoid includes over 70 rich performance motion sets, each with voice prompts, suitable for interactive performances in science museums, science events, and other similar settings. It can be remotely updated with more new and fun motion sets released by the official team, opening up even more possibilities!

It's both a robot and a game console!

It comes pre-loaded with over 260 NES (Famicom) retro games. Simply use the robot remote control and display to enjoy the games, relive your childhood memories, and combine learning with entertainment!

Fully Open Source Code

All the Python and C++ code for the robot's intelligent gameplay is open source and comes with detailed development documentation, making it easy for users to learn and perform secondary development.

Graphical Motion Group Editing Software

This graphical host computer motion group editing software goes a step further than the traditional drag-and-drop method. SamuRoid's head can rotate up, down, left, and right. It features a brand-new 170° wide-angle high-definition camera, giving the robot a wider visual recognition range. The camera also supports manual focus adjustment, making it more convenient to use.
