Socket Selection for Vacuum-Sealed Equipment — HGG/HEG
When using B-series connectors, if the equipment requires a watertight or vacuum-sealed socket, a vacuum-sealed socket must be selected. You can consider the following two options:
A) Figure 1 shows the device in everyday use. When the connector is engaged, the device achieves an IP50 dustproof rating, suitable for everyday use where airtightness and waterproofing are not required, i.e., when paired with an EGG internal fixed socket.
1. FGG plug / 2. EGG socket / 3. Your device | B) Figure 2 shows a device placed in a differential pressure environment (such as a vacuum or pressurized gas). The device, connector pins, and mounting points must be leak-free. To ensure the sealing performance of the device, the socket must be a corresponding vacuum-sealed socket.

Push-Pull Self-Locking B Series Circular Connector
The B series is an ergonomic, modular, robust, and reliable circular connector. The B series standard circular connectors are used in applications requiring quick, safe mating and self-locking, and are the most widely used series. Excellent mating cycle life and reliable quality management make it one of the most popular push-pull self-locking connectors.
This series is ideal for testing, measurement, and inspection instruments, medical equipment, scientific research, and audio/video applications.
Quick plug and unplug
Better looking, more convenient! Just push and pull to plug and unplug!

Simply push the plug axially into the socket to lock it. Once locked, pulling the cable or any other part will not disconnect the connection unless the unlocking mechanism is pulled. Simply pull the mortise section to unlock, which will release the locking pin and allow the plug to exit the socket.
Available in 6 sizes. Safe plug-in locking system.
Rugged housing design suitable for extremely harsh working environments. The connector is made of brass, which, due to its properties, ensures excellent interference resistance. The brass housing is plated with a nickel-chromium anti-corrosion coating, meeting the requirements of most military and civilian applications.

Multi-core type 1-48 pins High-density mounting, saving space
Miniaturization is an ongoing trend in every electronic application. Connectors occupy valuable space in device interfaces, therefore connector size plays a crucial role. Smaller plugs and sockets, along with high-density pins, are key to saving space and reducing weight.

Selected copper materials
Make your products stand out. Metallic copper has excellent electrical conductivity, absorbing and reflecting electromagnetic waves to achieve a shielding effect. Through the cable shielding layer being pressed against the clamp, conductivity is formed, guiding electromagnetic interference to ground and providing 360° EMC electromagnetic interference protection Improving the stability of equipment signals.

Rated current 43Amaxi. Multi-core types range from 1 to 48 pins.
The female pin core is made of phosphor bronze, which has a high elastic modulus, good conductivity, and high mechanical strength, allowing it to perform excellently even after multiple mating cycles. The rated current can be applied to all pins of a connector simultaneously. If operating at higher temperatures, the rated current value will decrease accordingly. When the insulating material used is operating at its maximum operating temperature, the operating current should approach zero.

Note: If operating at higher temperatures, the rated current will decrease accordingly. When the insulating material used is operating at its maximum operating temperature, the operating current should approach zero.
Tensile-resistant cable clamps. Maximum cable outer diameter 17mm.
These clamps secure cables to the connector; their locking design is similar to a tooling fixture on a lathe. The toothed design provides a firm grip on the cable while ensuring even and symmetrical cable deformation, offering excellent tensile strength.

*The cable clamps are delivered by default as the largest size clamp in the ordered series. Please see the size parameters below for details.
From an aesthetic perspective, the sheathed and unsheathed types are both available.
The elastic sheath made of TPU material, used with cable clamps, effectively prevents damage to the cable sheath caused by excessive bending, thus protecting the internal circuitry from risks and unnecessary repair costs. Of course, the unsheathed type is also aesthetically pleasing and highly favored by customers in the equipment manufacturing industry. TPU elastic sheath prevents cable bending and damage.
*The plug is delivered with the sheathed type by default; the 00B series is delivered without the sheath by default.

Panel pre-drilled installation; various installation sizes from small to large;
high-density installation, saving more space; three fixing methods; pre-drilled hole sizes from 7mm to 25mm; maximum panel thickness 12mm.

Electric shock protection recommendations

Electric Shock Protection (Recommended for high current applications)
To protect users from dangerous voltages, most HUNBOSS connectors are available in two insulated mount versions:
Standard Type [A] and Inverted Type [L]
Standard Type [A]: The socket pin contacts are protected against electric shock to prevent accidental contact.
This version is recommended when the socket is energized.
Inverted Type [L]: The plug pin contacts are protected against electric shock to prevent accidental contact.
This version is recommended when the plug is energized.
Note: Standard Type [A] is delivered by default. Please contact us when ordering the inverted type.
Current and voltage precautions
Test Voltage (Ue)
(Measured according to IEC 60512-2 Test Method 4a)
The test voltage value is equivalent to 75% of the average breakdown voltage.
The test voltage is increased at a rate of 500V/s for 1 minute.
The test is conducted with the plug and socket closed, and pressure is applied only to the plug end.
Operating Voltage (Us):
The following ratio is recommended: Us = UE / 3
Note: In some applications, the safety requirements for electrical equipment are extremely stringent regarding the operating voltage. In such cases, the operating voltage value is determined by the creepage distance between live parts. For high-voltage connectors, please contact us.

Rated Current
(Measured according to IEC 60512-3 Test Method 5a)
The rated current can be applied simultaneously to all pins of a connector. It is equivalent to raising the average temperature of the connector by 40°C. If operating at higher temperatures, the rated current value will decrease accordingly. When the insulating material is used and operating at its maximum operating temperature, the operating current should approach zero.
For connectors with PSU material as the insulator, the maximum permissible operating current follows the current versus operating temperature (T) curve as shown below.
Pin configuration current
Note: Verify that the connector size you selected is compatible with your cable outer diameter. Outer diameter current range
[See middle of size parameters].
Note: Pin configuration is available for B, K, T, and W series.
