Socket Selection for Vacuum-Sealed Equipment — HGG/HEG
When using B-series connectors, if the equipment requires a watertight or vacuum-sealed socket, a vacuum-sealed socket must be selected. You can consider the following two options:
| A) Figure 1 shows the device in everyday use. When the connector is engaged, the device achieves an IP50 dustproof rating, suitable for everyday use where airtightness and waterproofing are not required, i.e., when paired with an EGG internal fixed socket. | B) Figure 2 shows a device placed in a differential pressure environment (such as a vacuum or pressurized gas). The device, connector pins, and mounting points must be leak-free. To ensure the sealing performance of the device, the socket must be a corresponding vacuum-sealed socket. |

Push-pull self-locking B-series circular connector
The B series is an ergonomic, modular, robust, and reliable circular connector. The B series standard circular connectors are used in applications requiring quick, safe mating and self-locking, and are the most widely used series. Excellent mating cycle life and reliable quality management make it one of the most popular push-pull self-locking connectors.
This product series is ideal for testing, measurement, inspection instruments, medical equipment, scientific research, and audio/video applications.
Quick plug-and-play. Better looking and more convenient!
Simply push and pull to plug and unplug!

Simply push the plug axially into the socket to lock it. Once locked, pulling the cable or any other part will not disconnect the connection unless the unlocking mechanism is pulled. Simply pull the mortise section to unlock, which will release the locking pin and allow the plug to exit the socket.
6 sizes and specifications; safe plug-in/plug-out self-locking system.
The robust housing design is suitable for extremely harsh working environments. The connector is made of brass, and due to the properties of the material, it still performs excellently in terms of interference resistance. The surface of the brass housing is plated with a nickel-chromium anti-corrosion layer, which can meet the requirements of most military or civilian applications.

Multi-core type (1-48 cores) High-density installation, saving space
Miniaturization is an ongoing trend in every electronic application. Connectors occupy valuable space in device interfaces, making their size crucial. Smaller plugs and sockets, along with high-density pins, are key to saving space and reducing weight.

Selected Copper Materials
Making Your Products Stand Out
Metallic copper has excellent electrical conductivity, which can absorb and reflect electromagnetic waves, thus achieving a shielding effect. When the cable shielding layer is clamped at the clamp location, a conductive path is formed, guiding electromagnetic interference to ground and providing 360° EMC electromagnetic interference protection, thereby improving the stability of equipment signals.

The female pin core is made of phosphor bronze, which has a high elastic modulus, good conductivity, and high mechanical strength, allowing it to perform excellently even after multiple mating cycles. The rated current can be applied to all pin cores of a connector simultaneously. If operating at higher temperatures, the rated current will decrease accordingly. When the insulating material used is operating at its maximum operating temperature, the operating current should approach zero.

Note: If operating at higher temperatures, the rated current will decrease accordingly. When the insulating material used is operating at its maximum operating temperature, the operating current should approach zero.
Tensile-resistant cable clamps
maximum cable outer diameter 17mm
Cable clamps are used to secure the cable inside the connector; these locking clamps are designed similarly to tooling fixtures on a lathe. The toothed design provides a firm grip on the cable while ensuring even and symmetrical cable deformation, offering excellent tensile strength.

Aesthetic design, sheathed and non-sheathed
The elastic sheath made of TPU material, used with cable clamps, effectively prevents cable sheath damage caused by excessive bending, thus protecting the internal circuitry from risks and unnecessary repair costs. Of course, the unsheathed design also boasts an aesthetically pleasing appearance, making it popular with customers in the equipment manufacturing industry.

Multiple positioning pin configurations,
preventing mistaken insertion with the same pin count.
Connector positioning pins align with the protrusions of the plug and the recesses of the socket to prevent short circuits caused by mis-insertion. Additionally, when a panel has two or more connectors of the same specifications, different positioning pin configurations can be selected to distinguish them and prevent mis-insertion.
Note: The default positioning pin is 0 degrees. Other positioning pins can be obtained upon request. Please consult customer service for details.

Multiple pin configurations,
connectors for various application scenarios
connectors feature a selection of highly efficient and practical interfaces, each designed to maximize performance. They easily connect various cables, including coaxial (50/75 ohms), Gigabit Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet + Power, with applications ranging from underwater robotics to underwater cameras, meeting diverse needs.

Connector protective cover Prevents foreign objects from entering the device.
This protective cap is suitable for use when the connector is not engaged. When the device is not connected to the connector, the connector protective cap can be used to protect the connector and the device, preventing short circuits or damage to the device caused by solid or liquid metal.

Electric shock protection recommendations
Electric shock protection (recommended for high current applications)
To protect users from dangerous voltages, most HUNBOSS connectors are available in two insulated mount versions: Standard Type [A] and Flip-chip Type [L].
Standard type [A]
The socket's pin contacts are protected against accidental contact.
This version is recommended when the socket is energized.

Inverted type [L]
The plug's pin contacts are protected against accidental contact.
This version is recommended when the plug is energized.

Note: The default delivery standard type is [A]. Please contact us when ordering for custom delivery types.
Current and voltage precautions
Test Voltage (Ue) (Measured according to IEC 60512-2 Test Method 4a) The test voltage value is equivalent to 75% of the average breakdown voltage. The test voltage is increased at a rate of 500V/s for 1 minute. The test is conducted with the plug and socket closed, and pressure is applied only to the plug end. Operating voltage (Us): The following ratio is recommended.
| Rated Current (Measured according to IEC 60512-3 Test Method 5a) The rated current can be applied simultaneously to all pins of a connector, equivalent to raising the average temperature of the connector by 40°C. If operating at higher temperatures, the rated current will decrease accordingly. When the insulating material is used and operating at its maximum operating temperature, the operating current should approach zero. For connectors with PSU material as the insulator, the maximum permissible operating current follows the current versus operating temperature (T) curve as shown below. |
| Note: In some applications, the safety requirements for electrical equipment are extremely stringent regarding operating voltage. In such cases, the operating voltage value is determined by the creepage distance between live parts. Please contact us for high-voltage connectors. |

Note: Please verify that the connector size you selected is compatible with your cable's outer diameter. Current outer diameter range [see middle of size parameters].
Note: Pin configuration is available for B, K, T, and W series.

Note :
1) For reference only, this applies to our company's PVC bend-resistant cables. Due to differences in design processes and materials during the stranded cable design phase,
the cable diameter may not be compatible with the connector's cable range. Therefore, determining whether the cable's outer diameter is suitable is particularly important.
2) See the current and voltage precautions above.
3) Rated current = safe conductor current carrying capacity (Amperes).
