DIY IR Remote Control Circuit with NE555 | Control Any Load Wirelessly
Build a simple infrared remote receiver using the NE555 timer IC. This circuit lets you toggle any load – electronic lock, motor, or light – with a standard IR remote. I walk through the full build: NE555 pin connections, voltage dividers, capacitor timing, BC547 transistor switching, and an IRFZ44N MOSFET for high‑current loads. Tested with a 12V magnetic lock. Circuit schematic included – grab your parts and try it yourself!
Parts list: NE555, BC547, IRFZ44N, IR receiver diode, resistors (10k, 100k, 220Ω, 4.7k), 0.47μF capacitor, and any IR remote.
